These Terms & Conditions (“Terms”) apply to your use of FilamentPicks, including filamentpicks.com, related subdomains, and the Print Radar application (“Print Radar”). FilamentPicks is operated by Vlad in Romania. By using the website or Print Radar, you agree to these Terms. If you do not agree, do not use the relevant service.
1. Website Content
FilamentPicks publishes product reviews, guides, comparisons, and buying advice for 3D-printing enthusiasts. This content is general information, not professional, engineering, safety, or manufacturer advice. Although we aim to keep it useful and accurate, we do not guarantee that every item is complete, current, or error-free.
2. Affiliate Links
Some pages contain affiliate links. If you follow one and make a purchase, FilamentPicks may earn a commission at no additional cost to you. Affiliate relationships do not change the price you pay.
3. Print Radar and the One-Time License
Print Radar is a browser-based 3D-printing decision-support application. The current offer is a one-time purchase of $24.90, not a subscription. Prices and future offers may change, but a price change will not convert an already purchased one-time license into a recurring subscription.
A valid purchase grants you a personal, limited, non-exclusive, non-transferable license to use Print Radar for your own purposes, subject to these Terms. The purchase is a license to use the software; it does not transfer ownership of Print Radar, its code, design, databases, or content.
4. Purchase, Payment, and Delivery
Print Radar is sold through Lemon Squeezy, which acts as Merchant of Record for the transaction and handles payment processing, applicable taxes, receipts, chargebacks, and transaction-related refunds. Your checkout transaction is also governed by the Lemon Squeezy Buyer Terms.
After a successful purchase, the license key and delivery information are sent to the email address used at checkout. You are responsible for entering an accurate email address and keeping your receipt and license key secure.
5. Activation and Device Limit
One license may be activated on up to two devices at the same time. Activation requires the purchase email and the corresponding license key. You may not publish, share, resell, sublicense, or use the same license to provide access to unrelated third parties.
If you replace or lose access to a device, contact hello@filamentpicks.com. Where reasonably possible and after purchase verification, we may help reset an activation. We may refuse or suspend activations that reasonably appear fraudulent, automated, shared, resold, or used to bypass the device limit.
6. Local Storage and Backups
Print Radar is designed as a local-first application. Your printers, materials, spools, print logs, diagnoses, maintenance records, cost settings, and similar workspace data are normally stored in your browser on your device, not in a FilamentPicks cloud account.
Clearing browser data, using private-browsing modes, changing browser profiles, reinstalling software, or losing a device may delete that local data. You are responsible for exporting backups and keeping them in a safe place. FilamentPicks cannot restore local workspace data that was never transmitted to us.
7. Recommendations and Safe Use
Print Radar uses rules, calculations, heuristics, and the information you provide. Its temperatures, settings, diagnoses, compatibility guidance, cost estimates, and other outputs are starting points, not measurements from your printer and not guarantees of a successful or safe print.
You remain responsible for checking the instructions and safety information supplied by your printer, material, and equipment manufacturers; supervising equipment where appropriate; using suitable ventilation and protective measures; and deciding whether any recommendation is appropriate for your setup.
8. Acceptable Use
You may not reverse engineer, decompile, scrape, copy, republish, or commercially redistribute Print Radar or its underlying content except where applicable law expressly permits it. You may not circumvent license checks, interfere with security or availability, introduce malicious code, or use automated means that place an unreasonable load on the service. These restrictions do not limit your normal personal use of Print Radar or the physical objects you create with your own equipment.
9. Updates and Availability
Your one-time license provides access to the purchased product and reasonable maintenance of the current service. It does not promise every future feature, a specific development roadmap, permanent compatibility with every browser or device, or an indefinite level of online availability. We may make changes needed for security, accuracy, compatibility, legal compliance, or product improvement. Where reasonably possible, we will avoid removing the product’s core purchased functionality without notice.
10. Refunds and Consumer Rights
Refund requests are handled through Lemon Squeezy as Merchant of Record and assessed under its Buyer Terms and applicable law. If you cannot access the product or believe it is materially defective, contact hello@filamentpicks.com with your order details so we can first try to resolve the issue.
Nothing in these Terms excludes, restricts, or overrides any mandatory consumer rights or legal remedies that apply to you.
11. Intellectual Property
Unless otherwise stated, the website, Print Radar, and their original text, graphics, branding, interface, software, tools, and data are owned by or licensed to FilamentPicks and are protected by applicable intellectual-property laws. Third-party names and trademarks belong to their respective owners.
12. Disclaimer and Limitation of Liability
To the maximum extent permitted by law, FilamentPicks is provided on an “as available” basis without guarantees that it will be uninterrupted or error-free. FilamentPicks is not responsible for failed prints, wasted material, equipment damage, loss of local browser data, or indirect or consequential losses resulting from reliance on website or Print Radar outputs, except where liability cannot legally be excluded or limited.
This section does not limit liability for fraud, wilful misconduct, death or personal injury caused by negligence, or any other liability or consumer remedy that applicable law does not allow us to exclude.
13. Suspension or Termination
We may suspend or terminate access where reasonably necessary to address fraud, license sharing or resale, abuse, security threats, legal requirements, or a serious breach of these Terms. If access was restricted in error or the issue can be corrected, contact us and we will review it.
14. Privacy
Our collection and use of personal data are described in the FilamentPicks Privacy Policy.
15. Governing Law
These FilamentPicks Terms are governed by Romanian law, without depriving consumers of mandatory protections available under the law of their country of residence. The purchase transaction with Lemon Squeezy is also subject to the Lemon Squeezy Buyer Terms.
16. Changes to These Terms
We may update these Terms when the website, Print Radar, our providers, or legal requirements change. The “Last updated” date shows the latest revision. Material changes will apply prospectively and will not retroactively turn a one-time purchase into a subscription.
