Bambu Lab June Firmware Update Causing A1 Mini Issues — Should You Update?

Multiple A1 Mini owners report print disruptions after the June 2026 firmware update. Here's what's happening, whether to update, and the workaround that's working for affected users.

Bambu Lab’s A1 Mini is seeing a wave of user reports about the latest June 2026 firmware update causing print disruptions — and the community forum thread is growing fast.

What’s being reported

Multiple A1 Mini owners on the Bambu Lab community forum are reporting that the June firmware update has caused unexpected issues: failed bed leveling, mid-print stops, and in some cases printers that refuse to resume after a pause. The thread started within hours of the update going live and has accumulated dozens of responses.

What the update included

According to Bambu Lab’s official changelog, the June update brought security enhancements, external spool multi-color printing support, and automatic drying presets for AMS 2 Pro. Nothing in the changelog explicitly touches bed leveling or print resumption logic — which is why users are puzzled.

Should you update?

If you’re mid-project or running time-sensitive prints, hold off on updating for now. Bambu Lab has not issued an official statement on the reported issues as of the time of writing. The pattern here is familiar — the previous two firmware releases also caused short-term disruptions before Bambu pushed a quick hotfix within 3–5 days.

If you have already updated and are experiencing problems, the workaround reported by several users is to run a full factory calibration sequence from the touchscreen (Settings → Calibration → Full Calibration).

Filament impact

No filament-specific issues have been confirmed yet. PETG and PLA users report the same general instability, suggesting this is a firmware logic issue rather than a material compatibility problem.
